A Single Story

Hello! I'm Aziza Virani, and this website is my exploration of what Seth Godin terms the Connection Economy. How do we grapple with constant change? How do we create impact, engage (truly engage) with each other, and create solutions that can address global complexities?

Heady questions, indeed. This site is a space which explores reflections and re-imaginings about how we can design our world and our lives in different ways, in creative ways.

I'm based in Toronto, Canada, and fascinated by human behaviour- how we shape our worlds and shape ourselves - and all things that have to do with creative confidence. I'm passionate about women and leadership, alternative and experiential education, & about creating international networks of connection, collaboration and knowledge.

In formal terms, I hold an Honours BA in Sociology (McGill University) and a Masters degree in Education (University of Toronto). I've worked extensively in education management, communications and research. I spent two years living and working overseas in Spain. If I could include the title Wanderer to my credentials, I would. I'm great with connecting people, ideas and things. My primary purpose is to engage in work that matters - while inspiring others to do the same.
